Sailing through, happened across this very friendly place, with great food and a welcoming staff. I give it 6 stars. I got the Thanksgiving special, and relished every bite, and washed it down with a few delicious bloody Mary's.
It's a fantastic evening or food and drink. Fredrick, our bar tender and server, was great. The shrimp and grits were better than A&B in oriental.
Great Tavern on Main Street. Had the pizza. Really good. Highly recommend. Friendly staff. Casual dinning. Also full service bar and TV's.
It was our first time here, and we were kind of late arriving, so we were the last customers out. We were still provided with the same great service as a couple who came in at opening. We never mentioned it to anyone at the restaurant, but we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and they did not disappoint! We ordered the burger and a low country boil that was on special for the night. That burger was one of the best I've ever had! Thank you for helping end our anniversary with great service and joyous taste buds!
Had an amazing pizza and some delicious beer! Our waitress was amazing and super sweet to my daughter. Had an awesome relaxed atmosphere. A must visit if you're ever in Belhaven.
We met four other cruisers here for beer, and we all ended up with pizza as well. Alisha, the barkeeper, was efficient and friendly. Pizza was delicious. Good selection of beer. All reasonably priced compared to what we’ve been paying north of here. Nice and warm ambience.
Who do I need to talk to about this? What magic created the absolute best smash burger that I have ever eaten? I have never heard our group of five fall so silent as we ate. I had the Breakwater Blu burger (as a side note, you always must add the second patty to truly appreciate a smash burger), which included habanero-bacon jam and blue cheese crumbles. Our server, Christina, explained that it was not too spicy for most. She was spot on! Other folks got the Tavern smash burger and the Island hear smash burger--all with rave reviews. We ordered smashed potatoes because we assumed the potato wedges would be like thick french fries. We were wrong. They were indeed wedges of potatoes similar to a baked potato. They were fantastic. We were only here for one night, but if we were staying, we would go back again. That says A LOT, because everyone knows how picky I am. I realize that the River Forest Manor is a destination of sorts (the crafty cocktails were most excellent), but if you are in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and do not pass this up! .
After a long day of traveling, we were looking for a simple and easy meal. And we found it! We enjoyed a bbq chicken pizza and three sodas. Service was excellent as well!
